Keeping your office organized and efficient is a great way to save money on hotel supplies. There are a number of environmentally friendly office practices that we practice at Green Suite Hotel Solutions. So we thought we’d share a few of them with you!
- Bottle-less, but filtered, water-coolers eliminate bottled water
- Skylights and lots of windows for natural lighting
- Less than 1500kw use per employee anually
- T-5 fixtures provide fluorescent lighting throughout facilities
- Non-toxic paint throughout
- Used (previously owned?) office furniture
- Flooring tiles are 2nd use (saving money and waste)
- Natural Venturi air system essentially eliminates the need for AC
- 40% of employees carpool
- 25% of employees Telecommute
- Nearly paperless office (some hotels require paper invoicing, packaging slips, etc.)
- All internal documents are printed on recycled paper
- Dual flush toilet
- Waterless urinals
- Bathroom sink aerators are 0.5 gallons per minute
- Employees recycle glass, paper, plastic, metals, and cardboard for charity
